It took me a while to decide what I was going to write because there is no way I could thank Dr Buchanan in just one statement! In August of 2014 I had a Breast Reduction and Lift along with Liposuction of the Stomach and Hip areas. It has improved my active lifestyle more than I ever imagined. I work out a lot and these were areas that I had a really hard time improving upon. Every day since surgery, my body seems to get better and better! I have gotten faster in running and improved my golf game. This is by far the most caring and professional doctor’s office I have ever been in. All I can say is having the surgery was the 2nd best decision, Dr Buchanan was the 1st! Thank You!!
Oh, and please tell Dr Buchanan that since the surgery I went from a 32 handicap to a 22. Not too shabby. And that I even broke 90! Thanks again! ~SJ

Lauren and Brittany ran in the Ventura Mountains 2 Beach Half Marathon in June 2013 and both finished in under two hours. Both later became pregnant at nearly the same time and now have beautiful healthy baby girls about 4 weeks old! Several months ago five of our small staff were all pregnant at the same time; we considered changing our name to the Santa Barbara Plastic Surgery and Fertility Center! Fortunately all of the mothers and babies are doing spectacularly well. We feel blessed!

Our very own Dr. Wesley Schooler recently traveled with three orthopedic surgeons and two other plastic surgeons in Tanzania, Africa. He provided complex soft-tissue coverage for severe orthopedic injuries, and a broad spectrum of reconstructive surgeries for people in need. Dr. Schooler also gave a series of lectures to Tanzanian doctors and nurses on techniques and procedures.

Drs. David Buchanan and Wesley Schooler’s new mobile website is designed to auto-adjust to any internet-capable device, making information comprehensive and easily accessible to web visitors.
Santa Barbara, CA – Drs. David Buchanan and Wesley Schooler have over 40 years of combined experience in breast augmentation and use that experience to provide their patients with custom-tailored and natural looking results. An integral ingredient to their success has been clear doctor-patient communication and discussing with each individual her unique goals and anticipated outcomes for the breast augmentation procedure. Recently, Drs. Buchanan and Schooler launched a new mobile website for their Santa Barbara plastic surgery practice with the goals of further enhancing doctor-patient communication during the consultation process as well as achieving results that continue to meet, and even exceed the expectations of their patients.
According to Drs. Buchanan and Schooler, patients who visit their practice having conducted some research prior to their initial consultation tend to be better equipped to articulate their questions and concerns about breast augmentation. The practice’s new mobile website is designed to deliver detailed information in an easily accessible and easily navigable format. Because the website is designed to auto-adjust to whatever device the patient is using to access the internet, the information is automatically calibrated in a way that optimizes the layout of the content.
Features of Drs. Buchanan and Schooler’s new mobile website include:
- Procedural information about breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, and breast revision
- An outline of various options for breast implants
- Patient testimonials
- A photo gallery actual patients and their results
- Financing options
- One-touch email
- One-touch phone call
- An interactive map for office directions
- Detailed biographies of the plastic surgeons
Drs. Buchanan and Schooler hope that their new mobile website will be used as a resource for both current and prospective Santa Barbara breast augmentation patients. By providing patients with a means to educate themselves in a format that is convenient as well as informative, Drs. Buchanan and Schooler believe breast augmentation consultations will increasingly be a time for constructive dialogue between doctor and patient, with each party collaborating to achieve a common aesthetic goal.
